Impact Wrestling: Ring Ka King Review For Feb 5, 2012
Welcome, once again, to TNA’s India project, Ring Ka King. It’s time for the mega-episode today. A lot of things are promoted for today, to say that, basically this show has generated a lot of hype. Today’s show will have Mickie James competing, Chavo revealing his partner, and also the finals, of the Ring Ka King Heavyweight Championship! Scott Steiner takes on Matt Morgan for the title. Catch Ring Ka King on Colors on Sat/Sun at 8 PM IST.
Let’s roll the review, brought to you by the best pro wrestling site in the world, EGW. Without further ado, let’s begin.

We start the show with a recap from the last two episodes, where Chavo Guerrero had problems with the Sheiks, and he says that he announces his partner today. We start the show with a Knockouts match.
Hardcore Country!
The show starts with Mickie James, a female well-renowned international wrestler, against Alysia Flash, who is the future of the Knockouts. The both look beautiful, though. The match begins.
The crowd is wild for Mickie in the earlier moments. Mickie and Alysia start with some headlocks, then they are converted into arm locks. Alysia lands in some great moves and then goes back to punches and kicks. She is dominating for the most part.
This thought just struck me, TNA should hire stars from here too. They’ve got a good bunch, and I think these Indian guys could do well in Impact Wrestling. Alysia certainly looks impressive.
Mickie James with a great dropkick, and the crowd is enjoying every moment of this. Good, I’m happy with the crowd. Mickie takes Alysia to the turnbuckle, and delivers an amazing hurricanrana, only for two. Mickie now goes on the turnbuckle and jumps, but Flash moves away, causing Mickie to crash.
Alysia gets on the offense again, and gives a pretty good submission, it’s like Sting’s submission. Mickie now gets a roll-up, but it’s only for two. The crowd is really invested in this match, which is great. I wish crowds like these were present at the WWE shows.
Flash slaps Mickie now, then delivers a back-body drop. She goes for the cover, but is unsuccessful. James then gives her finisher for the pin, and the win. Fun match, the crowd was really into it.
Tale Of The Tape
We head to Kubraa Sait and Jeremy Borash. They are arranging for a segment with the challengers for the Ring Ka King heavyweight title, who are Scott Steiner and Matt Morgan. They are going to measure the wrestlers’ reach, biceps, and weight. First up is Scott Steiner.
The figures of Scott Steiner are weight: 130 kilos; biceps: 24 and a half inches and reach is 29 inches. He cuts a promo saying that he has the largest arms in the world and the title is going to be his. Typical Scott Steiner promo. I love his promos, though.
Next up is Matt Morgan, who’s figures are weight: 150 kilos, biceps:23 and reach: 39 inches. Matt Morgan asks Steiner who’s boss. Steiner gets offended, I guess. A brawl breaks out which is controlled shortly thereafter by the referees and the others involved.
Bollywood Rules!
We’re introduced to a new tag team backstage, named the Bollywood Boys. They seem like an actual team. They say that they’re not going to walk, crawl or run into the ring, they’re going to dance and sing to the ring. This seems weird. I like the fact that Ring Ka King has a lot of tag teams though, it makes it seem better.
Chavo Get’s a New Partner
We have a tag team match, which is next. Chavo gets a new tag team partner tonight, and he claims that they both have some sort of connection. It’s Harry Smith, or DH Smith. Here, he’s called the Bulldog Hart. The Sheiks make their way to the ring, accompanied by Raisha. She’s a ninja.
The match begins, with Hart dominating one of the Sheiks though. Headlocks, arm-locks, the power slams.. Hart just unleashed his offense on this guy. Harry tags in Chavo, and they give a pretty nice tag team move, We need more of this, this is good. These announcers are excited, I’ll admit that, but they’re weird. The Sheiks get pissed and bail to the outside. They tear up a fan’s sign, and ironically, the fan is the one who interrupted Adonis yesterday. We cut to commercial.
We’re back here on Ring Ka King and the midget fan interferes now. They remove him after a lot of hassle. The match is back to normal, and Sheiks get their offense in. A “Chavo” chant breaks out, which is pretty good.
As the Sheiks were controlling the offense, Chavo got the hot tag from Bulldog. Bulldog first power-bombed him before he went to the apron, and Chavo Guerrero delivered his splash for the pin and the win.
They show a clip backstage of Steiner and Morgan preparing for their all-important match later tonight.
A New Tag Team
Two people are backstage getting interviewed by Ram Menon, the interviewer. They call themselves the “Pathani Pathe”. This is a really dumb name. These guys look like mini Big Shows. These guys say that they are the most dominant tag team of India, and when they fight, all hell breaks loose. Harbhajan Singh wishes the luck, and tells them to focus while he gives the Ring Ka King heavyweight title to it’s rightful owner.
The Heavyweight Title Match
Harbhajan Singh makes his way to the ring, which already has the commissioner Jazzy Lahoria and his accomplice, Deadly Danda. Steiner makes his way into the ring, followed by his heel group members, Magnus and Dutt. Morgan comes in the ring too. Now, we have the formal introductions brought to you by Jeremy Borash. We take a break now. Awkward.
We’re back with Morgan in the ring applying holds to Steiner. Dutt tries to interfere early on, so Lahoria gets pissed. He invites his wrestling buddies (namely Veera and the Bollywood Boys). They all surround the ring and this match is apparently a lumberjack match now.
Steiner gets some offense in, he connects with some of his blows. A “Morgan” chant breaks out. Steiner gives a shoulder drop to Morgan, then starts doing push-ups, much to the dismay of the crowd. Steiner is completely dominating now. He hits a perfect DDT, but only for two.
Morgan connects with a boot now, after fighting off. He then tries to hit a clothesline, but gets a Steiner Recliner. He is going to tap out, but he gets to the ropes. Morgan immediately gets up and gives the Carbon Footprint to become the first ever Ring Ka King champion!
He gets the belt from Singh, then gets the mic and shouts “Dhanawadh” approximately three times, which translates to “Thank you”. The show ends with him celebrating with the belt.
–
This was actually a better show than yesterday’s. Here is my list of the good and the bad stuff:
Great job:
- The crowd was amazing. Totally into it.
- Bulldog Hart debuts. Good wrestler.
- Matt Morgan wins the Ring Ka King Heavyweight title. He deserved it.
- Mickie James competed.
Need to improve upon:
- Entertainment quota. It’s really low.
- The “measuring” segment. It made no sense.
- Excessive involvement of Harbhajan Singh
- The commentary

Impact Wrestling: Ring Ka King Review For Feb 4, 2012
From The ENIGMATIC GENERATION OF WRESTLING:
This is the review of TNA’s India project, Ring Ka King, which took place on the 4th of February, at 8 PM IST. Ring Ka King is live from my city, Pune, in the historical land of India. Featuring a roster of 30 international and Indian wrestlers, Ring Ka King has certainly delivered till now. Will the trend continue? Let;s find out.
And just for your information, EGW is the ONLY site to cover Ring Ka King. This definitely proves that we are the best pro wrestling multi-writer site on the web! Now, let’s roll.

Just to add, before the show, the aired a bad sitcom in which a man insulted a girl and the kid got angry and told the girl to slap the man. She complied. I don’t know why, I just had to write that. Anyway, we are live from Balewadi, Pune for Ring Ka King!
It’s Steiner Time
The show starts with Harbhajan Singh, the Indian cricketer, who gives a pep talk to the Indian wrestlers who want to make a name for themselves. He leaves and the wrestlers applaud him. Jazzy Lahoria, the commissioner, tells them to get ready but he’s interrupted by the faction of Magnus, Sonjay Dutt, and Scott Steiner. They all talk trash to him, and in the end, Scott Steiner calls Lahoria “white trash”.
The show officially starts with Scott Steiner makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Sir Brutus Magnus for his semi-final match against Mahabali Veera, the Indian Star. Steiner comes in and at first, starts beating up the fans! This is awesome! Magnus and the referees stop him and he makes his way to the ring. Veera gets in the ring too.
I just got a reply from Jeff Jarrett and Lagana. Just saying. Veera starts with a lot of shoulder blocks, then gives a clothesline which sends Scott out of the ring. Steiner gets pissed while Veera gets the crowd to cheer for him. To be honest, I don’t know what TNA/Ring Ka King management see in Veera, he is pretty green, but that’s just me.
Steiner gets back and unleashes the Flair chops to Mahabali Veera. These commentators are horrible. I wish I was just like you guys and wasn’t able to understand the language, but I can’t help it. They’re better than Micheal Cole though, they at least focus on the match.
Veera reverses the punches by Scott and clotheslines him. He gets a loud pop for suplexing Steiner. No offense, but this certainly seems piped. Unless this is like the TNA fans chanting”holy shit” when Gunner gives a DDT to some random person. Anyway, Veera tries to go for his finisher, but Steiner reverses and gives a variation of the Mic Check for the pin and the win. Steiner advances to the finals of the Ring Ka King heavyweight title.
It’s Party Time
Backstage, Zema Ion, Jimmy Rave, and Jackson are interviewed. They all say that they’re going to party in the ring, and they’re going to defeat their opposition. On a side note, the interviewer, Ram Menon, better called as the Indian Jeremy Borash sucks.
We head to a six-match tag team match. Isaiah Cash, or Luke Gallows, makes his way into the ring. His gimmick is of a biker who doesn’t want anyone to mess with him. He is booked a s a dominant monster. His partners, Hollywood and Broadway, make their way. These must be the dumbest names on this show. Even dumber than Deadly Danda.
The face team, Ion, Rave and Jackson, make their way to the ring and they get heavily supported by all the ladies. The crowd is pretty good. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, TNA is smart enough to start a show in India, the crowds are always hot. They start with the normal headlocks, but then, Jimmy tags Ion, who starts the offense by a few punches and kicks.
Broadway is tagged in, and he starts getting offense for his team. He gives a pretty sweet dropkick to Ion. The action gets intense, and Jackson takes Cash to the outside. All the guys, except Ion and Broadway. Ion gives a DDT, then goes to the top rope and gives a 450 splash, but it is completely botched. That, of course, is looked over, and Zema Ion gets the win for his team.
They celebrate, but Cash gets in the ring. He dominates the winners and sends them all packing to the outside. He then cuts a promo saying that nobody should mess with him, his bike, or his colors. Whoever messes with him, would face the consequences. Hollywood and Broadway come to the ring to celebrate with him, but he choke slams both of them and stands tall. Luke is booked pretty well here. Good stuff.
Morgan Gives A Warning
Ram Menon interviews Morgan backstage, who says that he is the best 7 footer in the business. He also says that even though the performances of Magnus, Scott, Dutt and Cash were good, they are all trying to get the upper hand. He says that he’s going to be the champ next week. On a side note, Morgan says, “Look at me. I’m the best 7 footer in the business”, and the interviewer looks at him in a gay way. That was really weird.
We head to the commercial. Next is the Adonis Lock challenge and then we have the main event.
We’re back and we get a promo about this Indian wrestler, Jwala, who says that he isn’t given the opportunity to compete on Ring Ka King, and he says that next time, he will compete, and he will dominate.
Adonis Lock and A Lakh Rupees
The American Adonis makes his way to the ring accompanied by his manager, Shera. Shera is his manager and his student. The announcers claim that Masters knows most of the languages, including Hindi, but doesn’t speak in any of them because he wants to represent America.
He taunts the fans, then enters the ring. He taunts the fans while coming to the ring. He cuts his normal promo saying that he is willing to give a lakh rupees (two thousand dollars) to the man who breaks his hold. The commentators are owning Adonis side-by-side, though.
He gets a thin guy to the ring. His name is Karan, and is from Pune, my city. He says that he is ready, and that money is his. They set him up, and he tries to fight away, but passes out and loses the challenge. The money still stays intact. Adonis is celebrating, when this midget comes from the crowd and wants to fight Adonis. He’s the guy who holds up the “hire me” sign always. Masters takes him lightly and throws him over the top rope. This isn’t the Royal Rumble, Adonis. Moreover, this isn’t the WWE.
We crown the Ring Ka King champion tomorrow, where Scott Steiner faces the winner of Dutt and Morgan. We meet Chavo backstage, who says that he is sick of the Sheiks interfering in his matches, and says that he will get a ne partner tomorrow, someone who’s like him, and says that he’ll defeat the Sheiks. Why do I get the feeling that this is Harry Smith?
We head to commercial, the main event is next.
The Carbon Footprint
We’re back and Sonjay Dutt makes his way in the ring, followed by his two managers, Scott Steiner and Magnus. This should be interesting, to say the least. Matt Morgan makes his way to a mediocre pop.
We start the match, and for the first few minutes, Dutt is wasting time running around, and doing push-ups and jumping jacks. Finally, they start the match. They start with a waist lock, which is then converted into a clothesline and Dutt bails out. Dutt looks like a kid in front of Morgan.
He takes help from Magnus and Steiner, and makes a plan. They distract the ref, and then Dutt tries to attack Morgan from behind, but that didn’t work. Morgan sensed it and blocked the punch to deliver a punch of his own. They try to interfere again, but the referee sends them to the back.
Sonjay stands on the ramp while we take a commercial break. We’re back and we see Dutt still standing on the ramp wanting his stable-mates to come back. Morgan stands behind him, and viciously sends him to the ring.
Morgan takes Dutt to the turnbuckle, then delivers his vintage elbows. He then goes for his Carbon Footprint, but Dutt reverses and then, Dutt tries to give his finisher, but that is reversed as well. Morgan fires back again with some blows, and then choke slams Dutt. He gives the Carbon Footprint to Dutt and advances to the final with Scott Steiner tomorrow.
The show ends with Steiner getting the belt in the ring and raising it, while Harbhajan Singh claps from the stage. We roll the credits.
–
This was a mediocre show. Not much entertainment, and was just a show to help the storylines. Hopefully, tomorrow’s show is better than this one. It features Mickie James competing on Ring Ka King, Chavo Guerrero revealing his mystery partner, and we crowning the new Ring Ka King Heavyweight Champion.
Here is my list of the good and the bad segments that took place tonight.
The Good Part:
- The Adonis Lock Challenge. I know it’s a rip-off from his WWE gimmick, but it’s always entertaining to watch the challenge.
- The hype for tomorrow’s show
- The involvement of Scott Steiner with fans
Need to improve upon:
- Excess of Harbhajan Singh’s involvement
- The fact that Mahabali Veera is the best Indian star. He is very green.
- The quality of matches
- The entertainment factor of these shows
Thanks a lot for reading this article, and I hope you like this review (if you felt this was good) and please, please comment on this piece.

WWE Raw Review For Jan 30, 2012
Welcome to the review of the latest edition of Raw, featuring the fall out, from Royal Rumble. HHH evaluates Laurinaitis, a big superstar makes his return, and much more. Let’s go!
Sheamus winning? I can't dig that, sucka.
Laurinaitis starts with shaking hands with the fans sitting, while Lawler and Cole discuss the Rumble and his performance review. Laurinaitis says that unlike them, he is happy that his performance is being reviewed. He says that he’s going to be the permanent GM now.
He says that we’re on the RTWM right now, but there is a stop at the Elimination Chamber. He makes the WWE title match with Punk, Ziggler, Miz, Kofi, Jericho and Truth. He says that Beth will defend her title tonight against Eve, and CM Punk will face D-Bry. Wow, that’s actually a great match.
Punk interferes and starts singing, and gets the fans to sing with him too. Hell, even King and Roberts do it. Weird. Punk tells him to remove the plastic smile off his face.
Punk and Laurinaitis have some back and forth verbal action, while CM Punk owns him a lot of times. Daniel Bryan makes his way into the ring.
Bryan says that he’s wonderful, he’s the best, he’s talented, and he’s Vegan! CM asks him what he exactly eats, then. Daniel gives a wonderful comeback. Punk asks them to deliver one of the best matches ever.
Sheamus interrupts, then the crowd erupts. He actually cuts a good promo saying that he’ll choose after the EC, and he wishes them both luck. He also tells that Laurinaitis could be fired, then quotes an Irish saying which I will not quote here. The match is set.
Orton vs Dolph? Both of them can’t handle a loss here. Poor match building, WWE. Good match, though. Dolph is slightly better here than he was at the Rumble, and Orton is average. They’re having a pretty good match here. RKO wins, and Ziggler is buried.
Laurinaitis is backstage, shaking hands with everyone. He has a small segment with Regal where they discuss their daughters.
Brodus Clay defeats Tyler Reks in another squash. They seriously now need to put Clay in a program, these random jobber squashes won’t help anyone. The dancers wore new outfits, though, so that’s a plus.
We head to backstage where CM Punk and Bryan have a backstage segment discussing Vegan and Straight Edge. This was actually a pretty cool segment, and Daniel Bryan’s new character is just awesome, okay?
Great match between D-Bry and Punk, the fact that they gave it out on free TV speaks volumes. Great match, they let the emotions flow. They should be put in a program in the future though, amazing workers. Solid match. No complaints anywhere.
I also loved the Jericho interference. He made Bryan win, which was great, and then he gave a Code Breaker to Punk, which was excellent. He has cemented his heel turn with this.
Mike Tyson is being inducted to the Hall Of Fame this year.
Kofi vs Miz, great. R-Truth on commentary? Better. Great to see Kofi win the match, and glad to see him in the WWE title match, I just hope he doesn’t get replaced. Miz was dominant i the Rumble, showed something here. Miz is set for a big push, and hopefully so is Kofi. R-Truth is hilarious.
Backstage, Ace criticizes Otunga and claims that he’ll take his job. They then show a video package of The Rock. Next.
Beth just destroyed Eve right now. Great. I wanted a Kharma sighting, but anyway, hopefully next week.
Kane cuts a promo on Eve. He claims that she is his mascot (I guess) to turn Cena heel and then appears in the ring. Cena out to save her, and they start brawling. Cena gets the upper hand as Kane flees, then Cena does his “vintage” salute.
Laurinaitis comes out to the ring, and gets solid heat. He cuts a short promo before HHH comes out to judge him. He criticizes him in a lot of areas, then tells him to apologize to the WWE Universe. He apologizes, which obviously isn’t accepted.
Then, HHH thinks of the next best solution, the “Kiss My Ass” club, and Laurinaitis goes down, but HHH refuses. He tries to think, and then wants to fire him, but is interrupted by a certain gong, Undertaker’s!
Undertaker has returned! It is great, because it was unexpected. Nobody expected this to happen. Undertaker certainly looks like he has a wig on. He looks at HHH and gives a throat-slash sign, but HHH pats him on the shoulder and leaves? Good ending.
